A city-sponsored tent city could ease homeless problem

“We read in the paper and hear on the radio that Albuquerque has its sixth tent city. This will keep happening until the city addresses the issues and concerns that are causing this.

Las Cruces has a good idea, since 2011, of its Hope Tent City, which is regulated by the residents and the city of Las Cruces. Social services are available on site, including a medical clinic and soup kitchen.”
