Saturday morning the homeless at MVCH were treated to a special breakfast prepared by LCFA and served at El Caldito Soup Kitchen. They had scrambled eggs, french toast, sausage and bacon, biscuits, and lots of OJ and coffee. It was so nice to sit down have breakfast together and I know all the homeless enjoyed it immensely.
I have known Pastor George, and Karla, Candy, and Humberto, and all the other amazing folks at LCFA for almost two years now. Their devotion and drive to continue to make our Camp Hope program a priority, and all they do for our homeless in Las Cruces is an inspiration. To have such deeply rooted faith based support is what helps make our agency grow and expand to help more people than ever before.
After breakfast, LCFA headed over to the camp, and unloaded new shoes (thanks “Big Five Sporting Goods”)and boots for nearly every resident, as well as sleeping bags for each person, and a backpack full hygiene products for every person. They even had left over sleeping bags and backpacks, so they drove around and handed them out to over a dozen more homeless that were on our campus.
HEARTFELT THANKS TO LCFA AND ALL YOUR FAMILIES FOR ALL YOU CONTINUE TO DO FOR THE HOMELESS IN LAS CRUCES!
