Helping Hats

P1180612 (480x640)Francine called me over a month ago to ask if she could come out to Mesilla Valley Community of Hope Campus and hand out free hats and some umbrellas to the homeless and to all of the clients that use the services at the agencies here. I said that sounded great, and it is perfect timing today and tomorrow as the heat swells and we endure 100 degree temps out here on the streets. It was really awesome to see all the people picking out the hat they liked, and then standing in line and eating lunch at El Caldito soup kitchen, all wearing their new hats. Francine and her two daughters and some friends and some of her grandkids all came out to help. We see more and more families coming out to support us and it makes us feel good to know that Las Cruces is full of good people who care and will find new ways to conribute to helping the homeless and the families that use our services.

Its a family affair!
