Dona Ana Community College Donates “Dollhouse”

The “dollhouse” gets dropped off at Camp Hope.

Last week, Kevin Gall of DACC’s Building Construction Technology Department, and some of his co-workers and companions, dropped off an amazing donation of a mini-house/shed. Kevin has been an avid supporter of Camp Hope from the very beginning, and has been trying to find ways to help us improve conditions while we meet the Cities requirements for our re-zoning. This new little sturcture will serve our Camp as an office for our safety and security crew, and storage space. It definitely adds some validity to our camp presence and is already much appreciated. The inside needs a little work, and Exec. Dir. Nicole Martinez has already spoken to an Eagle Scout who may take on finishing up the interior, the rock wall and painting and flooring. The shed is already rigged for electricity and has outlets, a porch light, and a ceiling fan, now we just need some solar power!

THANKS TO KEVIN GALL AND DACC’S BUILDING CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT FOR DONATING THIS STRUCTURE TO CAMP HOPE!
