Ride Right Ride Bright Tunes-up the Homeless

The Optimist Club gears-up the Homeless

This Saturday last the Optimist Club held another “Ride Right, Ride Bright” event at the Community of Hope. They helped the homeless fix tires, gave tune-ups, installed lights, even handed out helmets, and gave road-worthy safety tips. There was a great turn out and the homeless lined up to get their bikes worked on early before nine until 12pm. We have had several of our Camp Hope residents get in minor accidents with motor vehicles over the last year, so we all deeply appreciate The Optimist Club’s efforts to keep our homeless safe and their bikes, sometimes their only means of transportation, in good condition.

A great big thank you to Donald Wilson and The Optimist Club for holding this event again!
