This past Saturday the 23rd, Bea Hook and I attended the Volunteer Fair at the Branigan Cultural Center, representing the Mesilla Valley Community of Hope. Over 30 nonprofits were gathered there to introduce their agencies to the public and rally support for their causes. Groups like the United Way, The Girl Scouts, AARP, Roadrunner Food bank, and many others set up their tables with all kinds of information about their work and missions. It was a great way to educate people about MVCH and Camp Hope, and Bea and I got a chance to talk with over a dozen people who didn’t really know about our programs, and to some who knew about about us and simply wanted to get more involved. It was great day and there was even good food and everything was very well organized. Thanks to The Network Volunteer Center for organizing this event as it was a great success. And thanks to all the community support from Las Cruces for turning out and making this event truly worthwhile for all the agencies that participated.
See You All Next Year!
