Cafe Salud October 16th

Another great Cafe Salud at St Luke’s Health Care Clinic, themed around domestic abuse and violence prevention, with guests from The Child Crisis Center, next door, and La Casa, Inc. to promote awareness of the services available here in Las Cruces for those experiencing abuse. As well as some good snacks there was good music from St Luke’s Exec. Dir. Pamela Angell’s nephew, appearing solo from his group “The Usual Specter”, seems he’s becoming a veteran Cafe Salud performer and entertained us for the evening with some great tunes. La Casa, Inc. even played a game with the group attending to teach folks about recognizing the four main types of abuse they deal with at their agency. It was informative and educational and fun for all.

Thanks for coming out !
